The straightforward choice. Rope and cleat on the outside of the pole, satin aluminium finish. Everything you actually need and nothing you don't.

Same simple rope-and-cleat setup, but a noticeably thicker, wider pole. It handles more wind and it goes taller. The usual step up.

A cone-tapered shaft, wide at the base and slim at the top, with the rope and cleat on the outside. Heavier walls than a standard pole for its height.
Rope hidden insideThe rope runs hidden inside the pole and a small crank sits behind a locking door. Nobody can reach the rope, and the pole looks clean.
Rope hidden insideOur nicest-looking internal halyard pole. Hidden rope, locking door, and a finish meant to be seen from a few feet away.

The heaviest external halyard poles we sell, with the highest wind ratings at any given height and the tallest range.
For the coastBuilt thick for the coast. If you are near open water or in a hurricane zone, an ordinary pole will not pass inspection and will not last.
Rope hidden insideThe coastal pole with the rope hidden inside and a locking door. For seafront sites that need the wind rating and the security together.

Taller than 80 ft? Mega Poles, 100–150 ft steel →Three questions. We name the pole, the flag and the price.
What is it for?
How tall?
Every drawing below is drawn to scale, with a building and a six-foot person beside it, so you can see how the pole would look next to yours. As a rule a flagpole should stand level with the building behind it, or a little above.
Where is it going?
Salt and wind are what finish flagpoles off, so this decides how thick the wall needs to be. Pick the one that sounds like your place.
Do hurricanes reach this site?
Every commercial pole we quote is rated for the wind zone on Eder’s published wind map. This question decides whether it needs to be a hurricane pole.

The hardest thing to picture, so here it is drawn to scale.

Your pole can go wherever you want it. These are just the things worth thinking about first, because they are awkward to change once the concrete is in.
Tell us roughly what you need. One person reads it and replies with a real number, usually the same day.
All of this goes in your message. You can change anything below, or just add a note.
Your request is in. Someone will come back with a real number, usually the same business day. If it is urgent, call or text (350) 305-3524 (FLAG).
A 20 ft pole for a house starts at $448 for the light one, or around $842 for the heavy-wall pole we put near water. A 30 ft pole with the rope hidden inside is about $4,216. Installation depends on the digging and the access. In Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Texas we price that for your spot and send you one number for both; elsewhere we help you find the best local installer through our flagpole network.
Usually, and often using the concrete that is already there. Send a photo of the base and we will tell you. If it broke in a storm it may have been too thin for your area, so we will check that before quoting a replacement.
Eder publishes a size for every pole height, and it is on every pole we show you. A 25 ft pole takes a 4' x 6' flag, a 30 ft takes 5' x 8'. Going bigger pulls harder than the pole is built for and can void the warranty.
The pole itself is the longer wait, and it depends on the height and colour. Installation is normally one visit once it arrives, by our own crews in MD, PA, VA and North Texas, or by a local installer we help you find.
