Which of the two

The only real choice here, in plain words.

Endura-Nylon. Flies in the lightest breeze. The everyday flag. Aniline-dyed 200-denier nylon. Fast drying, treated to resist fading, and light enough to fly on a still morning.

Poly-Max. Near water, or out in the wind. Heavier, with a reinforced fly end. Two-ply 100% polyester with four rows of vertical stitching and reinforced corners. If you are near water — the bay, the ocean, a tidal river, a lake — or on an open, windy site, buy this one. Salt air and constant snapping are what kill a flag: the fly end goes first, which is the part this build reinforces, and the open weave spills wind instead of fighting it.

The short version: how close are you to water? Within sight of the bay, the ocean, a tidal river or a big lake, buy Poly-Max. Salt air and steady wind are what kill a flag, and they kill a nylon one first. Inland and sheltered, nylon is the right flag and costs less.

Every flag on this page is cut, sewn and finished by Eder Flag in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The company was founded in 1887, it is employee owned, and it is the largest flag and flagpole manufacturer in the United States. We are an authorized dealer, which is why the product is genuine and the warranty is the real one.

  • Sewn, not printed. Stripes are stitched and the stars are embroidered on every size from 3 ft by 5 ft up.
  • Brass grommets, canvas header. A cotton-polyester duck header with solid brass grommets, which is the part that fails first on a cheap flag.
  • Reinforced where it tears. The fly end is where a flag dies. Poly-Max adds four rows of vertical stitching and corner patches there.
  • An authorized dealer, not a reseller. Genuine product, factory warranty, and a person on the phone.

Shipping and returns

Both of them in full, before you pay, not after.

  • Shipping is free on every order. Any flag, any size, anywhere in the United States. There is no minimum to reach and nothing is added at checkout.
  • You have 10 days to send it back. Tell us within 10 days of delivery and return it unused, in the bag it arrived in.
  • Return postage is $7.95. We take it off the refund, so there is nothing to pay up front and nothing to work out at the counter. The balance goes back to the card you paid with.
  • A flag that has been flown cannot come back. One day up a pole ends its life as new stock, so check the size against your pole before you run it up. We will tell you the right size if you ask.

Damaged, or the wrong thing in the parcel, is not a return. Send us a photograph and we will replace it. The $7.95 does not apply and you do not send anything back.
